Brief Introduction

Dr. Teofilo Daquila teaches at the National University of Singapore in the Department of Southeast Asian Studies. He had previous teaching and research appointments at Chulalongkorn University, George Washington University, University of Melbourne, Deakin University, Australian National University, National University of Singapore, El Colegio de Mexico, Nordic Institute for Asian Studies, University of Munich, and Korea University.

1.1.  National – Member, MOEs 'A' Level History Syllabus Development Committee, 2013/14 – 2014/15, Participated and gave suggestions on the review of 'A' Level H1, H2 and H3 History syllabuses.

1.2. University Level -  have been involved /participated in the activities of the following institutions and units of the University in various capacities:

(i) NUS Teaching Academy – As appointed Fellow since July 2011, I have participated in meetings and activities to promote and develop teaching and learning at NUS including participating in the Teaching and Learning Club's activities, TA Retreat, Student Feedback, Peer Reviews, Educator Track, and other activities. Aside from meetings, I have also participated in online exchanges.

(ii) NUS General Education Committee – As appointed member since 1 Jan 2011 to Dec 2017, I participated in meetings and activities to promote and develop the new NUS General Education Curriculum. Aside from meetings, I have participated in online exchanges for discussions and approval of submitted GE modules and other related matters.

(iii) Centre for Development of Teaching and Learning – For many years now, I have participated in CDTL's Professional Development Programme for Teaching (PDP - T) as invited mentor & facilitator, and invited reviewer for the Teaching Enhancement Grants committee.

(iv) International Relations Office -- I have been a member of the TFLEaRN Scholarship Committee for many years now.  Meetings and online exchanges are held to decide on scholarship awards for inbound and outbound student
