Dr. LI ZHILIANG is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Real Estate at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He obtained his PhD from NUS, majoring in real estate finance & economics. Prior to that, he earned MSc degree (with honor) in real estate finance & economics from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden.  Before pursing overseas study, Dr. Li completed his Bachelor degree in Construction Project Management in China.

Dr. Li has been conducting academic research in real estate since 2009. His paper on Singapore green building economic return was published on the journal of Regional Science and Urban Economics and has been frequently cited in the green building research field. He also presented at various conferences and seminars, e.g., at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, UN PRI Sustainable Finance Young Scholar Seminar, NUS IRES Research Symposium, etc.

Since 2012, Dr. Li has worked as an Investment Research & Strategy manager at M&G Real Estate Asia - the private equity real estate investment arm of UK prudential insurance, and currently at ARA Asset Management covering Asia Pacific real estate markets. His responsibilities mainly focus on: (i) identifying and analyzing mid-to-long term structural trends in Asia likely to strategically influence real estate investments in the region; (ii) conduct ad-hoc and in-depth market research to form house views on market prospects and investment strategies; (iii) assist fundraising activity and new fund product development
