Research Interests Top

Surface modeling using elevation models: Acquisition and processing of bathymetry into digital elevation models DEM), use of DEM to model surfaces on land and seafloor in GIS for feature detection, hydrological analysis and correlation with subsurface data and observations.

Image processing and Interpretation: Use of multi-resolution, multi-spectral (also hyper spectral) satellite data for Geological (structural and mineralogical) studies and land use land cover classification and change analysis.

Subsurface Geological modeling: Integration of surface, seismic interpretation and well data for geological modeling leading to identification of prospects and evaluation of resources. This includes spatial statistical analysis (trend analyses) for extrapolation (predictive modeling), specifically using development of workflows and algorithms using GIS in 2D and 3D.
