Yannick Appriou graduated with a a Bachelor of Arts in Languages from the Haute-Bretagne University in Rennes, France ( http://www.univ-rennes2.fr ), and obtained his Masters degree in Sciences of Language with a specialty in French as a Foreign Language from Stendhal University in Grenoble, France ( http://www.u-grenoble3.fr).
His career spans the last 20 years in South East Asia, during which he acquired considerable experience teaching French as a foreign language. Beginning in Brunei, he subsequently moved to Singapore, where he taught at various institutions including the Alliance Française de Singapour ( http://www.alliancefrancaise.org.sg ), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
He also taught French part time at the National University of Singapore since January 2002, and has joined the Centre for Language Studies as a full time lecturer in November 2009.


Research Interests Top

His research interest is in the use and development of technology-based learning environments to facilitate student autonomy and optimize individual progress in learning French.
