Brief Introduction Top

A Singaporean by birth, I have done my basic education in Singapore and pursued my higher degrees (MA,PhD) in the United States (University of California, Berkeley). I enjoy travelling in Southeast Asia and tend to mix all personal holidays as field trips. My interest are in collecting art, antique maps, listening to music, reading and photography.

Currently, I am engaged in two projects. The regional personality of Southeast Asia and Sustainable Urban Development of Singapore. 

Research Interests Top

My research interests are rather eclectic. I pursue research in a broad band of sub-themes in cultural, environmental and political-economy issues on Singapore and the Southeast Asian region. My main areas of academic interest are in cultural landscapes, sustainable development, sustainable urban development and cross cultural issues.
